What does the name Geami mean?

How is GreenWrap made?

GreenWrap is made through a patented process where kraft paper is die cut into tiny slits throughout the entire roll of paper. The slits are left untouched until the paper is ready to be used. When used, the slits are pulled resulting in an expansion turning the paper into a 3-dimensional honeycomb web of angled cells. The expanded paper is combined with a layer of interleaf paper to keep the cells from opening, creating a cost effective, efficient and environmentally protective packaging solution.

How many packages are shipped using GreenWrap?

More than 40,000 packages a day and more than 15 million packages per year are shipped using GreenWrap.

Why is GreenWrap Green?

GreenWrap is offered in recycled and SFI certified content.  The recycled content is made from fully reused material and can be continued to be recycled.  SFI certified content guarantees that the paper is sourced from a forest where trees are being replanted.

What is the purpose/benefit of the interleaf tissue?

 Interleaf:

  • Keeps honeycomb cells open so they easily lock into place and remain secure
  • Provides smooth layers of surface protection to your product
  • Is used as a marketing medium to advertise your company logo or message 

Can I get my company’s logo on the interleaf?

Yes. Not only your company logo, but your marketing message can be printed on our custom interleaf, the printed tissue offers a significant advantage for building your company’s brand awareness compared to other protective packaging materials. Contact your account manager for more information regarding interleaf with your company’s logo.

What is an expander?

The expander is an automatic dispenser, which is a compact machine that can be easily placed at your packaging stations. It expands the pre-cut GreenWrap paper on demand and combines it with the interleaf, producing GreenWrap packaging materials as needed by your packers.

What is the cost of a Geami dispenser or expander?

Geami expanders are provided at a nominal rental fee of $1 per month for every 4 skids of GreenWrap purchased.

How much is the cost of electricity for an expander?

It costs less than $1 per month to run one expander under heavy use (3 shifts a day, 30 days per month). The average cost per month in the United States is around  $0.37 for industrial rate users and $0.55 for commercial rate users.

Can GreenWrap be used as a void fill?

Yes. GreenWrap can be used as a cushioning, void fill, and block & brace material.

Is there a local distributor for GreenWrap?

Yes. Some customers prefer to use a local distributor to buy GreenWrap so that their packaging orders for GreenWrap, boxes, tape, etc. are consolidated to one source.

Is GreenWrap competitive with bubble packaging?

GreenWrap is not only competitive on a cost-per-foot basis, but in most cases GreenWrap presents an overall cost savings to your operation.

What is the amount of GreenWrap in a pallet/skid?

Our standard 20/14 skid of GreenWrap High Volume will yield 33,600 feet of GreenWrap and contains 20 rolls of Die cut paper and 14 rolls of Interleaf paper.

Where does GreenWrap ship from?

GreenWrap ships from Raleigh, NC. Our Channel Partners also carry inventory of our products, which ship from their location.
